DLSU-Manila students won major prizes in the 4th Opus League '99 Inter-school Speech Competition participated in by 15 top universities and colleges in Metro Manila. La Salle ranked second overall champion for winning 3 spots in 4 categories. Ma. Lourdes Rivera, CLA, won first place in the extemporaneous speaking category. Michael Lim, ELED, was DLSU team adviser.
