Abstract/Summary

The purpose of this action research is to eliminate the acoustic failure being detected at Singapore Distribution Center and to improve the Quality Performance metric of Sivantos Philippines which in turn will address the decreasing customer satisfaction rate that is being measured at our main distribution center in Singapore. Guided by the PDCA framework, the action research will address the challenges of improving Sivantos Philippines customer satisfaction rate.

In first cycle, systems thinking diagram illustrated our main issue, its contributing factors and root cause. After we have established that our main issue was due to loose quality control in the existing process, we have come up with the implementation of the Statistical Process Control that can trap any nonconforming units involving test requirements. The first cycle will resolve main issue in the systems thinking map, but other issues will be resolved in the next part of PDCA that will be presented in the second cycle.

The second cycle will focus on how to progress with the full implementation of the Statistical Process Control without compromising the overall production performance. It will focus on how we plan to address the risk identified to solve our constructed issue. It will continue resolving the remaining issues in the System Thinking.
