Abstract/Summary
The purpose of this management action research is to determine how the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) can effectively promote its Business Support Services to the International Market. With the potential of the Business Services to assist foreign companies who would want to expand their business in the Philippines, ECCP aims to be a Center of Excellence in providing multiple Business Development and Technical Support Services. In the long term, the ease of doing business will attract investors and contribute to the country’s Foreign Direct Investments and Gross Domestic Product. ECCP aims to be a pillar for European companies to successfully reach their business goals in entering the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) region.
The first cycle will cover the data gathered from the 45 years of the Chamber’s existence as well as the status of the Chamber from March 2021 to December 2021 and the situation of the ECCP Business Services in the Local and International ecosystem. To better understand there will be in-depth data and methodologies which the inside action researcher will share. Additional economic indicators, historical, and cultural information are also evident to have a broad perspective in the Chambers business model.
Given the success of the first cycle, the second cycle focuses on how to sustain the efforts done to maximize a wider opportunity for the ECCP Business Services moving forward. The timeline of the activities and information gathered are from January 2022 to December 2022. This was also the time when the Philippines had a new government administration, easing of Covid restrictions, reopening of the economic activities, and recovery for the MSMEs.
