Abstract (English)

In the current digital landscape, ensuring a strong and secure network environment is has become an almost obligatory requirement for organizations of all sectors. With the evolving landscape of technology, cyber-attacks and threats have also evolved and have created numerous challenges to organizations to secure their data. One such challenge lies in authentication systems wherein organizations look to better secure their network access. This project aims to enhance the security of the Securities and Exchange Commission by integrating LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) authentication technology with VPN (Virtual Private Network) and Captive Portal Web Authentication.

The integration of LDAP with these two technologies will ensure a more centralized user authentication, authorization and management as well as simplify the access control process. By using LDAP, the company will be better equipped to enforce access policies to its sensitive network resources as well as bolster the security and operational efficiency. LDAP will also be able to grant role-based privileges to its users reducing the potential risks of unauthorized access.

By combining LDAP with VPN and Web Authentication Captive Portal, the SEC can establish a secure authentication framework that protects against various security threats both internally and externally. The integration not only enhances network security but also improves upon user experience by providing a better credential management system.
