Abstract/Summary
Digital transformation has become imperative for MSMEs, especially in the wake of the global pandemic, as it enables them to leverage digital technologies and tools for remote work, online operations, and e-commerce. This research study aims to identify the triggers, enablers, and barriers to building dynamic capabilities for digital transformation in MSMEs in Pampanga. Adopting an exploratory sequential mixed-method approach, the study collects and analyzes qualitative data followed by quantitative data from a sample. The findings underscore the significance of developing dynamic capabilities to effectively navigate the digital transformation process. Specifically, the study highlights the critical role of microfoundations of dynamic capabilities for digital transformtion, encompassing strategic renewal, changes in business models, collaborative approaches, and a culture of innovation. These foundations are pivotal for firms to thrive and adapt in the digital era. The study proposes a comprehensive roadmap and strategies that can be customized for specific MSMEs or adopted as a general framework applicable to all firms undergoing digital transformation. This roadmap provides actionable guidance on leveraging digital technologies, enhancing operational efficiency, and elevating customer experiences. By embracing digital transformation and cultivating dynamic capabilities, MSMEs can position themselves for success, growth, and sustainability in the ever-evolving digital landscape.
