Abstract (English)

This paper examines the representational capacity of erotic photography, focusing on its aesthetic value as a meaningful form of representation while addressing the challenges in art and sexuality, differentiating between meaning and symbolism. Representation throughout the years will be discussed to show that an artwork that depicts (e.g., a person, an idea, an emotion) allows artists to convey something that exists outside the artwork itself, which heavily relies on symbolization to pertain to something in the real world indirectly. Moreover, challenges that occur in navigating the interpretation of what is represented and how much an artwork can depict reality in erotic photographs will reveal the limits of representation. Scruton and Walton will present these limits because intentionalism and perceptual contact can lead to a non-representational factor of photographs because of the direct perceptual access. Therefore, erotic photographs prohibit representation because they are designed to produce a straightforward reaction based on how they look and what they show. A comparative analysis of other visual artworks will be implied to show the direct intent of erotic photographs that restrict the way these images can be represented beyond their immediate erotic impact.

Sinusuri ng papel ang kakayahan ng erotikang potograpiya bilang anyo ng representasyon at ang estetiko nitong kakayahan, na nakatuon sa makabuluhang halaga nito bilang anyo ng representasyon Tatalakayin ang representasyon sa paglipas ng mga taon upang ipakita na ang mga likhang-sining na naglalarawan (hal., isang tao, isang ideya, isang damdamin) ay nagbibigay-daan sa mga taga-likha na mag pahiwatig ng isang bagay na umiiral sa labas ng mismong obra upang tukuyin ang isang bagay sa realidad ng mundo. Bukod dito, may mga hamong lumilitaw sa pag-unawa sa kung ano ang kinakatawan ng representasyon at kung hanggang saan maaaring mag larawan ng realidad ang isang likhang-sining, lalo na sa erotikang potograpiya. Dito ay pagbubunyag ng mga limitasyon ng representasyon kung saan nilahad ni Scruton at Walton ang mga limitasyong ito dahil ang intensyon at pagnanaw ay maaaring magdulot ng pahintulot ng representasyon sa aspeto ng mga larawan dahil sa direktang pag tingin dito. Dahil dito, ang erotikang potograpiya ay humahadlang sa representasyon sapagkat dinisenyo itong magbunga ng tuwirang reaksyon batay sa kung paano ito tingnan at kung ano ang ipinapakita nito. Ipinahihiwatig ang paghahambing sa ibang biswal na likhang-sining upang maipakita ang tuwirang layunin ng erotikang potograpiya na naglilimita sa paraan kung paano ito maaaring unawain ng lampas sa agarang erotikong epekto nito.
