Abstract/Summary
Job satisfaction has been found to have been influenced by a set of factors inherent in the work itself. Recognition, responsibility, achievement, possibility of growth are at the heart of the work itself and they have the power to sustain a higher level of work behavior. This study was undertaken to investigate the general satisfaction of the faculty in St. Paul College of Paranaque (SPCP) and Quiapo Parochial School (QPS), two Paulinian schools, to findout if they are happy, satisfied and fulfilled in their job. The specific questions answered in this study are:
1. What is the level of job satisfaction of the faculty of St. Paul College of Paranaque and Quiapo Parochial Schools?
2. What factors produced job satisfaction and dissertation to the grade school and high school faculty in both schools?
3. Is there a signigicant difference in the level of job satisfaction of the elementary and high school faculty when grouped according to age, civil status, and length of experience?
4. Is there a significant difference between the level of job satisfaction of the faculty in the two schools?
The result of this study may provide insights to superiors, principals, administrators of SPCP and QPS in the exercise of their managerial functions. Knowing the sources of satisfaction and dissatisfactin of faculty in both schools, the administrators may be guided in their planning process. Provisions which need immediate attention in producing satisfaction to faculty may be looked into. The results of this study can also be submitted to the administration for consideration in envisioning a program concerned with the general environment-economic, cultutral, spiritual, educational, aesthetic, and intellectual pursuit of the faculty.
