Abstract/Summary
The potential of the youth as social, economic and political partners in the task of nation building is beginning to be considered seriously in all sectors. There is, therefor, a need to study youth groups for the purpose of assisting those directly and indirectly working with them to become more responsive and thus be able to formulate more effective program for development.
The present study was undertaken precisely to meet this need. It was designed to make an assessment of the efforts of the Out-of-School Youth Association to develop the youth of the province, as reflected by the reactions of all those concerned and involved in its activities.
The study aimed: 1. to measure the adequacy of the youth program performance in terms of kind of projects and activities undertaken; 2. to analyze the approaches used in program implementation including organizational practices, structure and policies; 3. to define new thrusts in the youth development program.
