Abstract/Summary

This study aims to find the level of job satisfaction, emotional maturity, and quality of life among single working mothers. Moreover, identify if emotional maturity moderates the relationship between job satisfaction and quality of life. Purposive convenient sampling was utilized in gathering the participants through referrals and were asked for their consent to participate in this study. The respondents were 120 Filipino single working mothers’ ages 19 to 45 yrs. old who answered the three scales such as the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire, Emotional Maturity Questionnaire, and Quality of Life Scale. Results showed that most of the single working mothers obtained a satisfactory level on job satisfaction and quality of life. Majority of the single working mothers had an average level of emotional maturity. Job satisfaction, particularly intrinsic satisfaction, predicts the quality of life. The study also found that emotional maturity does not moderate the relationship between job satisfaction and quality of life among single working mothers.
