Abstract/Summary
This report paper deals mainly with the practicum program accomplished by the trainee within his stay at the Philippine Long Distance Telephone (PLDT) Company under the supervision of the Corporate Customer Technical Solutions (CCTS) department. It is to provide the reader with the detailed and comprehensive explanation of all the trainings and activities the trainee has undergone during the design and implementation of the Permanent Virtual Circuit on Demand (PVCoD) services of PLDT Continuum for the Business Continuity Planning (BCP) requirement of the Philippine Veterans Bank (PVB). The paper consists of four chapters showing the detailed concept of the practicum project and the discussion of the tasks performed by the trainee during his on-the-job training at PLDT. Chapter one provides the brief discussion of the background, history, and profiles of PLDT and PVB. This chapter also presents the objectives and significances of the practicum program. Chapter two covers the scope and nature of the practicum program, including the technological overview, concepts, and principles learned by the trainee on the implementation of the practicum project. It also presented the activity time frame of the trainee in accomplishing the practicum project and the report paper. Moreover, It also discussed the problem that the trainee had encountered and the solution he undertaken while working with the project. Chapter three discussed the detailed explanation of the practicum project and the activities done by the trainee in the installation and testing of the project. Lastly, chapter four presents the trainee’s conclusion and evaluation to the practicum project. It also includes his recommendations for the project’s improvement and iii future assessment. In addition, the summary of the practicum project was also discussed here.
