Abstract/Summary

This research paper is a descriptive study. It aimed to conduct first level evaluation of the pre-practicum seminar activities of the Human Resource Management Program of DLSU-College of St. Benilde. The paper’s end-in-view is to determine the perception and reaction of the HRM students on the four components of the seminar modules: objectives, implementation, facilities and facilitators.

Thirty (30) senior BSBA- Human Resource Management students who participated in the seminar activities were the respondents of the study. Gender was one of the variables considered to determine possible differences in their perception and reaction. Results from the questionnaires indicated the respondents’ satisfactory rating on their reaction on the four seminar-workshop components. In terms of gender, reactions of the respondents are relatively the same.

This study on first level evaluation program was undertaken primarily to determine the contributions of a human resource development program in a school setting. Results suggested the degree of importance of the pre-practicum seminar-workshops to the participants whom the practicum program was purposely designed for.
