Abstract/Summary
Currently, the preparation of the RBP is being done through the prescribed format from the CO. Said format is in Excel template and being filled out by the ROs and DEOs during budget preparation planning stage and eventually for submission to CO. As observed, the format, being in Excel, is easy to modify as ROs and DEOs have the tendency to add or delete information resulting to different report formats and erroneous data thus significantly prolonging the process of budget preparation and finalization of the same. Having an accurate and standardized data submitted will significantly shorten the time of finalizing the report (for final approval and implementation); speedy implementation will mean attaining the objective of completing the project on time; completing the project on time will result to efficient service to the people as the facilities can already use by the end-user; with the available facilities such as roads and bridges, economic activities will be enhanced; ordinary people will directly benefit from it; DPWH image will improve because people are satisfied with the facilities; as a result, DPWH employees morale will be high; if the morale is high, employees are motivated to work thus productivity will further improve.
