Abstract/Summary

Nowadays, technological advancement has resulted to process improvement among various organizations. In this Action Research, the introduction of automation of resident records and financial transactions was done to ABC Homeowners Association Inc. The non-profit organization is located around Paranaque City. It is identified that manual interventions in processes provide inefficiency through the tasks of the officers. The lack of technological knowledge prohibits them from looking at how technology can improve the current processes of the association.

We used the time management matrix collaboratively to identify the urgent and important issue/opportunity that we would address. The team decided to automate the recording of homeowners' information and the generation of financial transactions of the association. With the guidance of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Lewin's Change Management Model, we arrived at several interventions in facilitating the change in the association. The activities administered for the officers focuses on acknowledging the use of technology to improve their current process and at the same time addressing the sustainability of the use of the automated file.

After the 2 cycles of Action Research, this helped me expand my knowledge about management and the perspective of other people. I was able to exercise my way of thinking through the tools used in this research. I also learned how collaboration can significantly impact the nature of managing change
