Abstract/Summary
This action research aimed to improve the trust accounts review in Space Bank. Using the Coghlan and Brannicks first, second and third person inquiry, we determined that the delay in accounts review process in Space Bank was attributed to lack of document management tool by the vault custodians to better track and retrieve the trust account folders required for audit. The joint constructing of the issue and planning led to a better document management that enabled our Bank Trust to have a more timely trust accounts review. In addition, this research project established a centralized database for managing accounting and audit data that helped us in resolving audit findings. After completing two cycles of this action research, we have seen a marked improvement in our accounts review process that served as a significant platform for further change in our organization.
