Abstract/Summary
This study aimed to do a cost analysis of the instruction offered on the various departments of St. Bridget's College, Batangas City for school year 1977-1978. Data were gathered mainly from the non-audited income-expense statements for the period 1977-1978, the class and teacher's program, schedule of salaries and the payroll. It made use of the two units of measure, namely WSCH (Weekly Student Contact Hours) and the number of students enrolled. In this particular study, six specific questions were raised namely: 1) What is the total cost of instruction per student per academic program in each department? 2) What is the total cost of instruction per student per curriculum year/degree in each department? 3) How much of the total cost per department is absorbed by direct cost? By indirect cost? 4) What department of SBC are profit/loss centers? 5) What curriculum year/degree are profit/loss centers in each department? 6) What academic programs are profit/loss centers in each department?
