Abstract/Summary
This action research aims to address the issue of lack of standard activity transmittal as caused by the absence of well-defined guideline in Field Sales Division and non-compliance of Field Sales Officers of Bank of the Philippine Islands. The objectives of this study were to create a standardized format of the Sales Activity Transmittal and to properly define the guideline to enforce proper utilization of the activity transmittal in the Field Sales Division to ensure complete, accurate, and reliable access to records of sales activities. The Action Research Cycle of Coghlan and Brannick was employed as guide through the course of the study. Methods of Inquiry and Collaboration such as informal discussions, team meetings, interviews and focused group discussions were conducted throughout the action research cycles to gather and analyze data. John Kotters 8-Step Change Model served as guide in managing change in the Field Sales Division. The Framework on Standardizing and Defining Recordkeeping Metadata developed by the Team Project of the Monash University in Australia were applied in the analysis of the problem and to arrive at the possible solutions. Through the collaboration of Field Sales Officers of the Manila and North Cluster Team, after two research cycles, the undefined Account Solicitation Transmittal was improved and was revised to a Standard Sales Activity Transmittal. This document was designed and intended to eliminate the common audit finding among Field Sales Officer on none utilization of activity transmittal.
