Abstract/Summary

The purpose of this action research is to address the recurring problem of Therma South, Inc. (TSI) regarding poor on time delivery (OTD) performance of suppliers, which affects the plant construction, and commissioning completion date. It was found out thru joint analysis by suppliers, procurement and warehouse team that TSI do not have control system in place that will ensure on time delivery performance such that late deliveries of materials and services were inherent in the company. Collaboration with technical buyers, warehouse team, and suppliers through series of formal meetings, phone interviews, brainstorming, email correspondences and performance report analysis were done to solve the lack of control system issue by Implementing Strategic Contracts and Supplier Performance Management that will support the improvement of OTD performance.
