Abstract/Summary
In this study, we aim to do an action research on improving teamwork for ESCTOUR.
Philippines tourism has grown rapidly in recent years. According to Department of Tourism Secretary, there were about 4.7 million foreigners visited the country in 2013 and South Korea is the biggest source of tourism. While International Air Transport Association (IATA) mentioned that airlines expect to see 31% increase in passengers numbers between 2012 to 2017. Thus, the related industries like airline and hospitality management posts a greater demand of products and services in the coming years.
Hence, ESCTOUR, which is, involve in logistical requirements of tourist, is seeking to achieve organizational improvement in terms of team performance so as to cope with the fast-paced environment in the industry.
This study will test of 7S framework, business life cycle, brainstorming, team building, leadership and action research cycle in improving team performance of ESCTOUR.
The objective of this study is to help ESCTOUR manage the business on high demand of services required in the industry and to improve business performance while achieving team work and cooperation in the organization, amidst cultural differences.
Hence, this study assesses the capabilities of the company and its employees moving forward and planning the continuity of the programs that will be beneficial to the company.
