Abstract/Summary

Banco De Oro Universal Bank is one of the fastest growing bank in the industry. From a medium size bank competing with small players to a medium size bank, competing with the big time players. The bank continue to show its resiliency and strength, towards its mission of becoming the referred bank in its niche market, as such measures its success in terms of growth, profitability, asset quality, customer satisfaction and shareholder value. This can be achieve by a generic strategy focus on differentiation.

Considering that BDO is competing in a fragmented industry, the key strategy towards achieving its goals and objectives is differentiation in serving its niche market by pursuing forms of uniqueness in terms of efficiently performing primary activities, most valuable to clients.
