Abstract/Summary
This novel is an exploration of the struggles and identity formation of Third-Culture Kids or TCKs, and a contribution to the Filipino bildungsroman tradition. While there is local literature that deals with growing up in the Philippines, very few tackles the coming of age of Filipinos who return to their homeland after living abroad with their parents for most of their childhood. This project delves into how changes in ones environment affect ones perception of the world and his place in it. It is also through the constant negotiation with different landscapes not just of places but of the Self that a person makes sense of what he has become.
