Abstract/Summary

This study aims to establish the Cebuano translation of the Panukat ng Kabuuang Pagkatao (PKP) and to strengthen its psychometric properties. It is descriptive in nature and is being conducted to describe the characteristics of an instrument for the assessment of the Subjective Well-Being (SWB) of Cebuano-speaking college & theology seminarians. This study has translated the items of the original PKP into Cebuano and had the items back-translated for linguistic equivalence to the original version. The Cebuano version was administered to 893 Cebuano/Visayan-Speaking college and theology formation level seminarians from 14 college and theology diocesan and religious different seminaries in the Visayas and Mindanao. The study concluded that the Cebuano version of the PKP be named as Ang Sukdanan sa Kinatibuk-ang Pagkamaayo sa Pagkatawo (SKPP), a reliable and valid instrument to be used for assessments of the Subjective Well-Being of seminarians. Ultimately, the aim of the study is to pioneer the creation of other localized evaluation instruments to assess the Subjective Well-Being of the seminarians. This tries to respond to the need to indigenize the assessment procedures of the behavioural status of seminarians.
