Abstract/Summary

This study deals on the comparison of the organization structure of three schools based on the concept of delegation of authority in the planning, reporting, decision-making and supervision functions of the principal. The descriptive method of research was used in this paper. Data were gathered through an interview schedule, which was prepared by the Educational Management Center of De La Salle University. The researcher interviewed the three principals of the respondent schools as to how they operated for the school year 1976-1977, with regards their planning, decision making, reporting and supervision functions. The model organization structure was formulated by the researcher, based on management theories and principles, taking into consideration the resources and constraints of the three schools under study, as well as its applicability to the local situation. Treatment of the data was done by comparing the organization of the three schools with the model.
