Abstract/Summary

This research discusses a diagnosing system in the domain of biomedicine that provides recommendations to determined diseases. An ontology is used to represent domain knowledge and is used to diagnose a person's illness. An extractive summary, from multiple sources, will be generated to provide the recommendations. Extractive summary is an approach to forming a summary by extracting important sentences from input documents, where little or no transformation is involved. Multi-document summarization will deal with the issue of information selection and redundancy. This research aims to highlight the important points of the documents in generating the final summary.
