Abstract/Summary
Franchise businesses in the Philippines have been gaining in number during the recent years. LeDonne Franchise Corporation (LDFC) joined the bandwagon in 1997, specially the footwear retail franchise industry. This paper analyzes the present conditions of the footwear retail franchise industry by identifying its major players, economic characteristics and opportunities and threats. The analysis makes use of the five forces model to assess competitive rivalry within the industry.
This paper also analyses the present condition of LDFC in terms of its strengths and weakness identifying its present strategies and strategic issues.
From the analyses of both the industry and company, this paper would establish strategic objectives, propose strategies and implementation methods that would address the strategic issues facing LDFC at present.
