Abstract/Summary
What type of vehicle options will consumers demand in the next century? While no one is quite sure, one thing is certain--- consumers will want entertainment features that are easy to operate and affordable and automotive electronics will enable this to happen. While this is great news for the auto electronics industry, the real challenge is to produce electronic systems that are not only desirable, but also marketable and able to be manufactured.
In this paper, it covers not only the auto electronic industry but also the automotive industry for the reason that the auto electronics are just components of an automobile. In this regard, TAPI, as one of the major suppliers of auto electronic devices is facing a serious challenge or pressure on how to react to consumer demand and how to have an affordable and high quality products despite the high cost in research and development (R&D).
However, the safety devices in the automobile particularly anti-brake system, car body electronic are showing a good market growth, is just one of the opportunities that the company should make a strategic plan in order to increase its market share.
Also, this paper will discuss the existing strategy of the company and what will be the strategy of the company in the future in order to sustain its growth. What kind of leadership is suitable to this kind of business wherein the constant word is change.
