Abstract/Summary
Fault tolerance in distributed shared memory through replication has yet to be explored. This research proposes an algorithm for fault tolerance in a home-based lazy release consistent distributed shared memory using replication of tasks. In this approach, the recovery time of failed processes is reduced. A management scheme for the replicated tasks is employed to keep data consistent and minimize the overhead of managing replicas.
