Abstract/Summary
The research project attempts to come up with a local version of a standardized achievement test in SEDP Mathematics III. The study utilizes the descriptive-developmental type of research. The test covered the first semester subject matter (from Exponents to Quadratic Equations) only. An initial item pool of 200 was pretested in a public high school in Intramuros, Manila. A sample of 148 subjects took part in the pretesting stage. Item analyses (item difficulty, item discrimination, and plausibility of distractors) yielded 45 acceptable items (p = .11 to .72, Di = .20 and above) which comprise the final form.
