Abstract/Summary

The study shall focus on LANDBANK of the Philippines, a universal bank with a social mission. Furthermore, the study shall analyze and review the corporate strategies of the Bank for the past five years (1992 to 1996) and shall formulate more feasible strategies for the next four years (1997 to 2000)

Objectives:

1. To analyze the present financial services industry specifically the banking system.

2. To identify the opportunities and threats present in its external environment.

3. To analyze the value activities and financial performance and identify the competitive advantage, strength and weaknesses.

4. To evaluate the banks present strategies.

5. To formulate a generic, corporate and functional strategies for the bank for the next years.

6. To formulate an action plan for strategy implementation.
