Abstract/Summary

This paper is specifically undertaken to formulate the company strategies of Adelpa Specialties, Inc. in a conscious effort to assist its Management identify the strengths and weaknesses of the company as it faces threats and opportunities from its external environment, and formulate and implement various strategies to be more competitive as it pursues its mission, vision and miss and objectives.

The writer made use of Michael Porters concepts. These include such concepts as the five forces of competition used in the environmental analysis, the generic strategies used in strategy formulation and the value chain used in identifying the companys competitive advantage. The writer also utilized the 7S Framework of Waterman, Peters, and Philips in the implementation module.
