Abstract/Summary

There is a significant number of Internet users that have portable computers and want to be on-line even if they are detached from their local Internet site. This concern led the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), to come up with an Architectural Model for mobile networking, called the Mobile IP. This was defined in detail in RFC 2002.The study aims to design an authentication process between nodes and agents. One particular addition to the process is the use of digital signatures. The implications and implementation of the changes are also studied.
