Abstract/Summary
This paper intends to inform the reader of the real activities that go on inside a cellular mobile telephone service provider. This report will first present an overview of the Philippine telecommunications market, specifically cellular telephony.
This paper will also give a rather detailed review of related literature both for Advanced Mobile Phone Service (AMPS), Narrowband - Advanced Mobile Phone Service (NAMPS) and Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA).
The last part of this paper will recount my actual experiences during my practicum. It is my hope that what little I contribute in building our telecommunications industry will be my share in making the Philippines the next newly industrialized country in Asia.
