Abstract/Summary
This descriptive correlational study determines the relationship among the Filipino workers' (1) work adjustment, (2) age, and (3) educational attainment. It also identifies the effects of the rural or urban work setting on their work adjustment. The Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ) and the Minnesota Satisfaction Scales (MSS) were administered to 137 respondents. The respondents were employed in some factories in Taipei for one or two years. The results indicated that there were no significant relationships between the respondents' work adjustment and the variables of either age or educational attainment. No significant difference was established between the work adjustment of respondents who came from either urban or rural areas. The gathered data indicated that 83.94 percent of the Filipino workers in the different factories in Taipei City were workers. Their needs were seemingly met and their abilities fitted the work environment in Taipei. The results further showed that the respondents' work adjustment was not affected by their (1) gender, (2) age, (3) educational attainment, and (4) place of origin.
