Abstract/Summary
The use of digital computer as a compensator and a controller device has grown during the past decade as the price and reliability of digital computers have improved dramatically. The computer size and power may vary significantly. Computer control is used today for data acquisition, chemical processes, aircraft control, machine tools, and many common processes. Computers also play an important role in the control of robots, which is a combination of a computer and a manipulator working together to perform a series of tasks. This thesis intends to illustrate how a particular process can be linked to a computer and to be able to control it.
