Abstract/Summary

This introduces into the Philippine plastic manufacturing industry a pneumatic pick and place robot that uses electronic controllers, pneumatic cylinders, and materials readily available in the local market. The robot was designed for a pick and place application in a plastic molding machine where the robot will unload the products. The results show that the operating cycle time was recorded at seven (7) seconds which means the robot is competitive with the five (5) to seven (7) second cycle time of similar commercial robots.
