Abstract/Summary
This paper deals with the construction of some chemistry teaching equipment from discarded materials common in many areas in Jolo, Sulu. They are intended for high school chemistry classes. The scope of the study gives more emphasis to the feasibility of making chemistry as a subject more adaptable to the levels of the schools in Sulu. Finally, its usefulness to teachers who like to impart some knowledge of chemistry to students by using locally-made and improvised equipment. Perhaps this paper would serve best the rural high schools whose facilities in science education is very inadequate or which do not even have a laboratory room for practical work.
