Abstract/Summary
Embroidery from an Ordinary Industrial Sewing Machine is a project to convert sewing machine to embroidery system. The system is computer-based wherein the figure to be embroidered is drawn in AutoCAD's drawing editor. A program in AutoLISP is written so that the figure drawn will be filled with zigzag lines representing the stitches in actual process. A decoding program written in Turbo C will extract the coordinates of the zigzag lines and process it, after which it sends the equivalent number of pulse for the stepper motor to travel.
Fuzzy Logic is included to smoother the acceleration and deceleration of the stepper motor.
