Abstract/Summary
Window cleaning is the process of cleaning windows on houses and high rise buildings. Currently, human beings are being suspended outside the building on a scaffold. However, putting human beings outside the high-rise building is very risky and a danger to people around. We apply computer engineering into making window cleaning safer and faster by replacing humans being suspended outside the building with machines and a robot arm. A Machine deploys a window cleaning device from the top of the building and can let the window cleaning device move in x, y and z direction. The window cleaning device has sensors for window edge detection and window distance detection, spray for spray liquid solution on to the window and a robot arm for wiping the glass window. Test results shows that such concept would be technologically possible in the near future.
