Abstract/Summary
This design-intensive project study realizes an original model of a non-adaptive memory-less hardware based Time Division Multiplex Pulse Code Modulation encoder + decoder system for multi-channel high fidelity digital audio recording and playback via Beta-format Video Cassette Recording. Explicit error protection using forward redundancy Hamming techniques, and non uniform quantization via analog parabolic companding are to be implemented.
