Abstract/Summary

The study was sought to determine expatriate students‟ intercultural sensitivity levels and to identify its predictors. Participants came from selected international schools in Metro Manila. The hypothesized predictors were students‟ personality traits, attachment styles, family characteristics and selected demographic variables. Results show that the majority of the students (73.8%) are in the ethnocentric stage of Denial/Defense and Reversal with 25% students falling at the Minimization stage, which is between the ethnocentric and the ethnorelative stages. Of the variables under study, flexibility, empathy, open-mindedness, stability, family cohesiveness, communication fluency, and nationality emerged as significant predictors of intercultural sensitivity orientations.
