Abstract/Summary
This is qualitative research designed to develop a management model in student affairs in the context of autonomous universities in the Philippines. A purposive sample of 5 private higher educational institutions across regions in the country is covered by the study. Data were gathered through ethnographic site observations, face-to-face interviews of student affairs heads, professionals, student leaders and alumni as well through review of literature, institutional documents and survey questionnaire. Qualitative and quantitative content analysis using grounded theory methodologies of the gathered data and information provided the basis for coming up with a description of student affairs management practices employed by the student affairs units across sites.
