Abstract/Summary
The multi-site study was guided by Pandit’s (1996) theory building methodology which draws concepts from Corbin and Strauss’ (1990) theory building and
Yin's (1989) case study approach. It was aimed at developing a model of learner- centered education for Philippine high school. The model was a result of the
synthesis of the findings in five participant schools, which were reputed to be learner-centered. The study identified five categories of learner-centered education, namely, Vision-Mission, Learner as Focal Point, School Climate, Roles of Key Players, and Academic Programs.
