Abstract/Summary
This study focused on the design and implementation of a three-wheeled wifi-controlled telepresence robot capable of two-way video and audio communication. The prototype in this study uses a laptop connected to another laptop via wifi connection. This study uses open source processing software and arduino microcontroller to control the prototype. There is a graphical user interface (GUI) for the video stream and control panel for the different movements such as turn left, turn right, forward and backward. WebRTC, an open source software provides the two-way video and audio communication. The telepresence robot can detect obstacle using ultrasonic sensor.
