Abstract/Summary

The researchers discovered that Padi's Point Bar and Restaurant's orientation program does not effectively train their servers on how to perform the organization's operational procedures. Their orientation lacks the necessary visual cues that would aid in demonstrating the procedures to the servers, which results in servers being unfamiliar with how to perform the procedures when they are assigned to their respective branches.

To resolve this, the researchers created a training kit containing a server's training video and a facilitator's manual, which will be used during the orientation of new servers. The project will aid the orientation facilitator in training new hires how to perform the organization's operational procedures. The demonstrations in the video and the activities in the manual will help servers practice the skills to prepare themselves for operations.

The training kit generated positive results based on the feedback gathered from a pilot test done with new hires.
