Abstract/Summary
This research aims to create a strategic communications plan tailored to divers and snorkelers ages 16 to 30, for reef Check Philippines, a reef conservation non-profit organization. Guided by Patterson and Radtke's (2009) framework for strategic communications planning, the proponents of this research employed a three-phase approach in improving reef Check Philippines' existing communications plan, namely through evaluation, feedback, and collaboration. The evaluation phase of the research revealed that reef check's communications plan was lacking, inconsistent, and vague in the aspects of a good communications plan as stated by the framework. A feedback session was conducted to relay the findings of the evaluation to the organization, and a series of collaborative meetings were held to create a new strategic and efficient communications plan.
