Abstract/Summary
This project is a study of the college radio format, focusing specifically on the programming content of Green Giant FM, the internet radio station of De La Salle University. According to the study the programs of the station are currently very limited and have no distinguishing characteristics that differentiate them from one another. Also, the feeling of it being a La Salle radio station is absent from any of the programs currently airing. Programming is the backbone of the station (Patrick John Piotrowski. Public Radio Programming Strategies ) and this project aims to put the element of 'localness' (Robin Sewlal. Turning up the volume on community radio. ) into the programming content of the station, develop a unique La Salle style of radio, and improve programming as a whole.
