Abstract/Summary
The study aims to find out the effects of persuasive communication on career choice, and attitudes of fourth year male high school students of low and high socio-economic status. Subjects were composed of 267 male high school students of Pedro E. Diaz Municipal High School and Don Bosco Makati who are obtained through purposive sampling. Non-equivalent quasi-experimental design (pre and post) was used in the study. Even after the exposure of the persuasive essay, there was no significant difference between message content, type of argument and socio-economic status on career choice and attitude. However type of argument and socio-economic status has an effect on career choice at .05 level of significance.
