Abstract/Summary

Euro-Fareast Maritime Corporation is a shipping company which caters to the needs of local and international vessel owners. Its basic services include crew recruitment, cargo and supply handling, vessel maintenance, vessel operations monitoring, and customs assistance. The company is committed to contributing to the growth of the Philippine shipping industry.

Euro-Fareast wanted to establish its name in the industry. As a relatively new company, it needed communication tools to help them penetrate the market and make people aware of their business. Thus, the proponents conceptualized and designed a print production package to compensate for this problem.

The first step was to come up with a mission statement for Euro-Fareast. This provided a foundation which reflected the company's values and established the direction of the company. Also the proponents finalized important details needed to establish and strengthen the company's image. This included information about the company's philosophy, advantages, services, and people. Everything was structured into a corporate manual which was designed to standardize the company profile.

The corporate manual serves as an instrument for Euro-Fareast to be known in the shipping business. Clients can refer to the manual for important information regarding the company. At the same time, Euro-Fareast's employees can make use of the manual as their guide to get a better understanding of how the company operates. The size of the manual is 8.5 x 11 inches and it has 45 pages. The colors used were the company colors which are blue, green, and red. The design consisted of the company logo which stands for the company's goal of providing world-class service. Color bars of blue and green gradually meeting at the center were placed at the bottom of each page to signify the smooth transition of Euro-Fareast's services from land to sea. An abstract design of a boat was placed on the right side, just above the color bars signifying the type of business that Euro-Fareast is into.

The proponents also designed a brochure for the company. This acts as an initial form of contact between Euro-Fareast and its clients. It was designed to serve as a tool to attract potential clients to conduct business with Euro-Fareast. The brochure's size is 8.5 X 11 inches and it is divided into three panels, back to back. It has the same motif and design as the manual. The color bars were maintained but its size was stretched to form a continuous line serving as a base for the text.
