Abstract/Summary

Finding one's way in Metro Manila has always been a major dilemma, especially when one is new to the city, just like tourists and people coming from the provinces. The development of a navigational software for taxi users which could provide information about the possible shortest path and estimated fare to one's destination could be a very useful guide for taxi users.

The developed software is a helpful navigational aid, which is also user-friendly. The software's prediction of the estimated fare has an error range of -18 percent to +12 percent in comparison with the actual data. The output provides users a list of what streets to take and a detailed directional map of the path selected.

The software is very useful and reliable, not only for the taxi users but also to anyone who drives and travels as well. Enabling the users of this software to plan their trips ahead of time that could save them time and money for their upcoming trips.
