Abstract/Summary
Self-made man is a documentary about Sam Morse, the founder of Transman Brotherhood Philippines (TBP). TBP is an independent support group exclusively for Filipino transmen that aims to assist fellow transmen with a safe space to alleviate some of the everyday hardships of transmen. It will feature two members of the organization, Kristian (a working college student) and Coco (a college student), that he helped come to terms with their decision to transition. It intends to help Filipinos rethink their perceptions on what the transgender community is in order to raise public awareness and acceptance of transgender men through proper facts about transitioning and the community.
