Abstract/Summary

Traffic is among the common problems that people face. Each delay causes a huge loss on a country's productivity, inevitably translating into several sums of money lost. This paper proposes the design and development of a bus loading and unloading regulation system which aims to assist in alleviating traffic caused by buses. The system is comprised of a computer vision algorithm which identifies and evaluates the data regarding the state of traffic and is then sent to the receiving communication system of the bus. The communication system of the bus utilizes the bluetooth technology as its medium and is configured to be initially paired in order to reduce connection delay. The data received by the system of the bus then interprets the data for which the time limit for the door to open is dependent upon. Status regarding possible overstaying of the bus is then sent through SMS.
